- Dr. Charles Hall
Charles Hall is an associate professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of English at the University of Memphis. He has been teaching ESL/EFL since 1973 both in the United States and around the world. The author or co-author of several texts (such as American Legal EnglishI) , he is interested in practical application of theory and research. He was a co-founder of the ISLS during his Fulbright grant in then Czechoslovakia in 1989. Professor Hall has conducted worked and training seminars from many governmental agencies and private corporation. He is currently chair of the ESP [English for Specific Purposes] Interest Section for International TESOL, the largest professional organization in the ESL/EFL field. - Dr. Gabriela Kleckova
Gabriela Kleckova is an assistant professor in the Department of English at the Faculty of Education, the University of West Bohemia in Plzen , the Czech Republic. She received her Ph.D. in English with a concentration in Applied Linguistics from The University of Memphis, Memphis , Tennessee , USA. She has worked in both ESL and EFL contexts and taught a wide range of general English courses and ESOL professional courses for both native and non-native speakers. Her research interests are in the areas of materials development (effectiveness and utility of design) and teacher training.
